Pre-Sales Engineer

Epoch Solutions Group is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to play a key role within the sales team. As our Pre-Sales Engineer, you are responsible for interacting with clients to understand their needs and business priorities and matching those priorities with capabilities within the Epoch product suite. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will design, build, and prepare product demonstrations that showcase EpochField and its capabilities and features to prospective customers as part of the sales cycle. A Pre-Sales Engineer should have good exceptional communication skills, as they are expected to present and position solutions to the client, highlight the benefits of using EpochField by sharing customer success stories, and convey technical information clearly. During this process, you will create impactful relationships with your customers and strive to become their trusted advisor.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Work across a range of Utilities (Electric and Gas) and Telecommunication companies to understand their challenges and goals.
  • Build and present customized product
  • Confidently present and articulate the business value of our solution to business managers and executives.
  • Be an innovator who can create new solutions using out-of-the-box
  • Respond to RFP/RFI
  • Work as a team player by contributing, learning, and sharing new
  • Manage multiple customer engagements
  • Present at marketing events and trade
  • Training and enablement of the sales
  • Be self-motivated, flexible, and


Desired Skills and Experience:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in computer engineering, information systems, or business administration.

Should Have:

  • A broad understanding of Utility (Electric and Gas) and Telecommunications markets
  • Knowledge and technical experience with Esri GIS
  • Proven technology skills, including experience with Python as well as Oracle or SQLServer
  • Two or more years in sales engineering or
  • Superior presentation and demonstration skills with a focus on
  • Ability to gather customer requirements and synthesize into actionable configuration in a technology solution.

  • Proven technology skills, including experience with Python as well as Oracle or SQLServer
  • Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Scheduling & Dispatch

Base Salary Range: USD $-$120,000-$140,000 annually

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. Individual total compensation package will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screening.
