What’s New in EpochField 5.2.14
We’re pleased to announce the release of EpochField 5.2.14. The following highlights all of the items addressed.
New Features
Hide by Default for Fields and Categories
This release introduces the Hide by Default feature, allowing system administrators to configure form fields and categories to be initially hidden when a form is displayed. These hidden elements will only appear when triggered by an Intelligent Workflow (IWF) rule, reducing clutter and improving form usability.
Mobile
Dynamic Field Visibility Based on Workflow
- Forms now dynamically show and hide fields based on Intelligent Workflow rules.
- Hidden fields/categories remain invisible unless triggered by workflow conditions.
- This ensures a cleaner, more user-friendly experience for Mobile users.
Required Files Download Progress Indicator
- A progress indicator has been added to the Data Download page, showing the status of Required Files being downloaded and unzipped.
- This helps users understand that background processing is taking place instead of appearing unresponsive.
Improved Vertical Spacing in Collection Views
- Vertical spacing and padding have been improved across multiple collection views within the app.
- This enhancement provides better screen utilization, allowing more content to be displayed without excessive empty space.
Web Suite – Intelligent Workflow Enhancements
Hide by Default – Workflow Builder
- A new “Hide by Default” option is available for fields and categories in Intelligent Workflow rules.
- Hidden fields/categories will not be visible on the mobile form until activated by an Intelligent Workflow rule.
- This feature simplifies forms by displaying only the most relevant information to field workers.
Hide by Default – Intelligent Workflow (IWF) Show Rule
- Intelligent Workflow now supports a “Show” rule that reveals hidden fields/categories when specific conditions are met.
- Field users will see only the fields necessary for their workflow, reducing cognitive load and improving efficiency.
Work Management Server
- No changes in this release.
Data Prep
- No changes have been made to Data Prep in this release.
