What’s New in EpochField 5.2.27

We’re pleased to announce the release of EpochField 5.2.27. The following highlights all of the items addressed.

Impacted Modules: Mobile, Web Suite, Workflow Builder, Data Prep, Work Scheduler

New Features

• Universal Search Result Persistence (Mobile) – Search result pins now remain on the map until explicitly cleared, allowing multiple assets to be viewed at once.
• Universal Search Custom Output Fields (Mobile) – Locator results can display additional attributes such as EFLabel and GlobalID.
• Workflow Attachment Count Validation (Mobile) – Workflow forms now enforce required attachment counts before completion.
• Simplified Default Value Configuration (Workflow Builder) – Default values can be set directly within value modals.
• Map-Based Move Feature (Work Scheduler) – Work features can now be selected and moved between work orders using the map.

Mobile Enhancements

Universal Search – Persistent Map Pins
Universal Search results now persist on the map until the user clears them, enabling visibility of multiple assets simultaneously.

Highlights:

• Pins remain until cleared via Clear or Cancel.
• Clear also resets search text; X clears text only.
• Clear button is disabled when no pins exist.
• Keyboard-driven workflows are supported on Windows devices.
• Search candidates only refresh on manual text entry.

Universal Search – Custom Locator Output Fields
Universal Search now supports displaying custom output fields returned by the locator.

Highlights:

• Custom fields (e.g., EFLabel, GlobalID) are included in results.
• EFLabel replaces Asset ID when present.
• Labels display as [EFLabel] – [Locator Name].
• Marker popups include additional attributes when available.
• Requires updated locator configuration and regenerated MMPKs.

Workflow Forms – Required Attachment Count Validation
Workflow forms now enforce required attachment counts instead of only checking for at least one attachment.

Highlights:

• Forms cannot be completed until required attachment counts are met.
• Each required attachment selection increases the total required count.
• Validation messaging reflects missing attachments before submission.

Web Suite Enhancements

Workflow Builder – Simplified Default Value Configuration
Setting default values for form fields has been streamlined.

Highlights:

• “Set as Default” checkbox added to value edit modals.
• Single-select fields support one default value.
• Multi-select fields support multiple default values.
• Default values are clearly marked with a Default badge in value lists.

Work Scheduler Enhancements

Map-Based Move Feature for Work Features
Work Scheduler now supports map-driven reassignment of work features.

Highlights:

• Features can be selected directly from the map.
• Lasso selection enables bulk feature moves.
• Selected features can be reassigned to another work order.
• Improves speed and consistency over list-based selection.

Bug Fixes
