What’s New in EpochField 5.2.28
We’re pleased to announce the release of EpochField 5.2.28. The following highlights all of the items addressed.

New Features
- Date/Time Entry Controls in Workflow Forms – Administrators can restrict Date, Time, and DateTime fields to allow past dates, future dates, or both.
- Universal Search Pins Persist Across Tools – Search result pins remain visible when navigating between tools until explicitly cleared.
- Configurable Import CSV Visibility – The “Import CSV” option for Work Features can now be disabled via configuration.
- Android 15+ Compatibility Update – Mobile updated to support 16 KB page size requirements for Android 15 and newer.
Mobile Enhancements
Date & Time Entry Controls (Workflow Forms)
Date, Time, and DateTime fields can now be restricted based on administrator configuration in Workflow Builder.
Configuration (Workflow Builder)
Two new checkbox options are available when configuring Date/Time fields:
- Allow past date selection(Default: ON)
- Allowfuture date selection(Default: OFF)
Behavior
- Past ON / Future OFF → Allows past and current dates.
- Past OFF / Future ON → Allows future dates only.
- Both ON → Allows all dates.
- Fields honor the configured restrictions in Mobile.
This provides better data control while supporting workflows that require future-dated entries.
Universal Search Pins Persist Across Tools
Universal Search pins now remain visible when navigating between supported tools, providing continued spatial context.
Key Behavior
- Pins remain visible across tool navigation.
- Pins retain original location, label, and popup attributes.
- Pins do not interfere with tool-specific graphics.
- Pins remain until explicitly cleared.
Configurable “Import CSV” Visibility
Administrators can now disable the Import CSV option when adding Work Features.
Configuration

- Optional setting.
- Defaults to true if not included.
- When false, the “Import CSV” option is hidden in Mobile.
This helps reduce risk of unintended data imports.
Android 15+ (16 KB Page Size) Compatibility
EpochField Mobile has been updated to support the 16 KB memory page size requirement introduced for Android 15+ and enforced by Google Play.
- Ensures continued publishing compliance.
- Maintains compatibility with newer Android devices.
